The LCAA was founded around 1990. At that time the Chinook fishery was very "HOT." Anglers from all over the Northwest came to Coeur d'Alene to enjoy catching an easy limit of fish that often reached the thirty plus size range. As time went on the guys and gals out there began to form friendships and talk about the possibilities of derbies and other fishing events.
